Our Mini Lops-
When we decided to breed and show mini lops, we made the decision to specialise in certain colours. Initially, our choice of colours were-Blue self, Black self, Chocolate self and then all three colours in the otter variation. We have also moved into other colours now, mainly beige and sooty fawn, along with the 'occassional' agouti.
We are currently working on a line of BEW (blue-eyed white) mini lops. These will not be introduced into our coloured lines, but kept totally seperate, so as not to 'mess with' the genetic make-up of our present breeding program.
LILLY~BEW doe. Lilly is a real love. She has a very placid temperament and the most luscious coat
BUDDY~blue otter buck. Here is a real star. He is such a poser! Mind you, with one Best In Show under his belt already, he has every reason to show off!!
VERONICA~ black otter doe. I call her 'Ronnie. She's a real sweetheart...got a real temper though and thinks nothing of throwing the contents of my grooming table at me when she's had enough.
MISTER~black otter buck. Son of Buddy and Veronica, Mister really is a 'chip off the old block.' He is a funny character-feed time is never boring once you open his hutch! Mister is developing into a very handsome buck and I look forward to seeing on the show table.
VIOLET~ black otter doe. Litter mate to Mister, we are very pleased with how Veronica is developing. Her type is fantastic-just like her brother.
BRIDGET~ blue otter doe. Bred from our original blue otter lines, 'Bridget the Midget' is a lovely, small doe. She has great type and a very sweet nature.
BARDOT~ blue otter doe. Daughter of Buddy and Bridget, Bardot is a tiny, perfectly formed little doe. Just like her Mum and Nan before her, she has a lovely, sweet nature.
MARY~black otter doe. Another small, perfectly formed doe. We are very excited with the way our otter breeding program is heading...this is another baby that demonstates this. Mary is a real love.
LITTLE MAN~black otter buck. Now this little one I love!!! He captured a place in my heart from when he was just 2 weeks old and is holding on firmly!! He is, as far as I am concerned, 'just perfect'...He's still a youngster, but quite an achievement to have won Best U/5 Lop every time he has been shown.. NOW HE HAS A BEST IN SHOW UNDER HIS BELT TOO!!!
PRISCILLA~ black self doe. Our very own little "Quee-e-en of the shed" Cilla is a real love. She has a fantastic coat and wonderful type. We look forward to her having some super babies.
BERTIE~ blue self buck. Now Bertie is a true sweetheart. He's a wonderful show and stud buck, but that is somehow secondary to his wonderful nature.
BILLY~ blue self buck. Billy is Bunty's litter brother. Naturally smaller than his sister-and not such a big eater! Another hopeful for the show table later in the year.
BELLA~ black self doe. This is a gorgeous little doe. As shiney as silk, with wonderful type...she's an exciting addition to my rabbitry.
BETTY~ blue self doe. Betty is a strong part of my long term blue breeding program. She's a great doe with lots of character.
TREVOR~agouti buck. I never intended to keep the colour agouti and definitely did not think I would be showing this colour. However, this little fella and his sister struck a chord with me so I 'ran them on'...a decision I'm pleased with as Trevor already has 4 best lop diplomas to his name!
SQUISHY~beige doe. Now this doe is absolutely tiny! She's an absolute sweetheart and everyone thinks she's still a baby.
